纯棉织品耐热能良好，在摄氏110℃以下时，只会引起织物上水分蒸发，不会损伤纤维，所以纯棉织物在常温下，穿着使用，洗涤印染等对织品都无影响，由此对提高了纯棉织品耐洗耐穿服用性能。
